Purchasing
Do I need to create an account to make a purchase?
No, an account is not required. Purchasing is available for anyone and everyone visiting the StudioKits store.
What payment methods are accepted?
As the online purchasing is currently handled via Shopify, most major credit cards, along with other payment methods, such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, are accepted.
Can a purchase be made using financing platforms like Klarna or Afterpay?
Unfortunately, we currently do not offer purchases through financing platforms like Klarna or Afterpay.
Do you offer discounts of any kind?
Yes! We are pleased to offer a 30% educational discount to all students currently enrolled at any school or institution.
Products
Does each book contain examples of every technique and method available for that particular subject?
No. While we try to include as much as possible in each book, it wouldn’t be practical to include every single instance. The books do try to cover the most commonly used and widely available techniques and methods throughout the print industry.
Do the books need to be replaced like the Pantone® line?
No, the books do not need to be replaced. Updates to existing books may become available, but purchasing them is optional. It is important to note, however, that any physically printed product will eventually start to degrade. We recommend keeping the books out of direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
Can I take the book as a sample to any printer?
Yes, assuming that the printer offers that specific service. Our goal at StudioKits is to provide the necessary tools for anyone to discover what’s possible in the world of print. As such, we try to fill the books with the most relevant and commonly available techniques and methods. If a particular service (e.g. foil stamping) is offered by a printer, the examples of said service in the books can and will be a helpful reference.
Are there any warranties on the products?
As these are physically printed books, we do not offer warranties similar to ones which would be found on other products. We do, however, stand by our work. If you receive a product with any defects or issues, please get in touch at hello@thisisstudiokits.com, and we will do our best to rectify the situation.
Shipping & Returns
Do you ship worldwide?
Unfortunately, no. At the moment, we are only shipping throughout Canada.
Can I track my shipment?
Yes. Once an online order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email from Shopify along with a link to tracking information.
Who do you ship with?
Typical shipments are made through Canada Post or UPS; however, due to the orders running directly through Shopify, we cannot explicitly choose the shipping/delivery provider.
Do you provide free shipping on orders over a certain amount?
Unfortunately, we don’t offer free shipping at the moment.
How long does shipping take?
Shipping normally takes between 2–5 business days. There can, of course, be unforeseen situations outside of our control that can cause delays.
What is the return and exchange policy?
While all sales are final, our stance is that we want you to be completely satisfied. If you receive a product with any deficiencies or there are other issues, please get in touch at hello@thisisstudiokits.com, and we will do our best to rectify the situation.
How many days do I have to initiate a return or exchange?
If you receive a product with any deficiencies or other issues, please get in touch immediately after the date of delivery or pick-up.
My product got damaged in shipping. Can I get a replacement?
If any of your products were damaged during shipping, please get in touch at hello@thisisstudiokits.com to request a replacement.
